One visit, ten little jobs, one clear invoice
Hang the door, fix the fan, patch the wall, then send one handyman invoice that lists every task. Customers see exactly what they got, and the invoice is in their inbox before you reach the next driveway.
Why handyman jobs are fiddly to bill
Your day is a string of small tasks, hardware store runs and customers who add one more thing as you pack up.
The list that keeps growing
You came to mount a TV and leave having caulked the tub and fixed two doors. Add each task as its own line, so the customer sees the value of every one.
A minimum charge that holds
Small jobs still cost you the drive. Save a minimum visit charge as a service, so a ten minute fix is never billed as ten minutes.
Materials at cost
The exhaust fan, the caulk and the hinges came from the hardware store on the way. Put them on their own line, and on Solo and above attach a photo of the receipt.
Landlords and property managers
Rental owners send a steady trickle of repairs across several homes. A customer statement shows them every open invoice at once, on Solo and above.
Paid at the door
Add your own Square, Stripe or PayPal link and the customer can pay by card from the invoice email. The payment lands in your own account, not ours.
From a website request to a paid handyman invoice
A to do list arrives by form
A homeowner lists four jobs in your website form: a TV mount, a noisy bathroom fan, two holes in the drywall and a leaky tub seal. It lands in your enquiry list as written.
Do the jobs, tap the prices
As you finish each task, tap the matching saved service on your phone. The materials you picked up go on as their own line.
Send it from the driveway
The customer gets one PDF invoice with every task listed and your payment link on it. You see when they open it.
Reminders for the slow payers
If it is still unpaid at the due date, a friendly reminder goes out. You get on with the next job.
An example handyman invoice
One morning visit with four small jobs and the materials bought on the way. This example has no sales tax line, as if the work is in a state that does not tax these repairs. Rules differ by state, so set your own rate in Settings if your work is taxable.
Example only, with a fictional business and customer. Your invoices use your own details, tax settings and design.

Good to know
Can I put lots of small jobs on one invoice?
Yes. Add as many lines as the visit needs, each with its own price, and the total works itself out.
Can I charge a minimum call out?
Yes. Save a minimum visit charge as a service and add it to any invoice where the work was quick.
Do I have to charge sales tax?
It depends on your state and the type of work. WhizInvoice lets you set the rate that applies to you, or none at all, and it is worth checking your state’s own guidance.
Can customers pay by card on the spot?
Yes. Add your own Square, Stripe or PayPal payment link and customers pay from the invoice email. WhizInvoice never holds the money.
Do I need an EIN on my invoices?
No tax number is required on a US invoice. If you want one there, an EIN works and keeps your Social Security number off the page.
