Payment reminders that do the chasing
Polite emails go out before and after the due date, you can see who opened the invoice, and the reminders stop as soon as the invoice is marked paid. Included on every plan, Free too.
A late payer has often just forgotten
Chasing money is the job nobody started a business to do. Ringing a customer about an overdue bill feels awkward, so it gets put off, and an invoice that was a week late quietly becomes two months late.
Often the customer was never refusing to pay. The invoice slipped down their inbox, or arrived while they were busy, or went to an address they rarely check. A friendly nudge at the right moment often does the job, and WhizInvoice sends that nudge for you every single time, without the awkward phone call.
How the reminders run
You send the invoice
The due date comes from your payment terms, such as 7 or 14 days. From that moment the invoice is being looked after.
A heads up before it is due
A friendly email reminds the customer a few days before the due date, while paying on time is still easy.
Reminders on and after the due date
If the invoice is still open, polite reminders follow on the due date and after it, under your business name.
Paid means quiet
Mark the invoice paid, or let it be marked for you, and every reminder for it stops straight away. On Starter and up, when a customer taps I’ve paid, reminders pause until you confirm the money arrived.
Example timeline for one invoice
- Friday 9 October
- Invoice sent, due in 14 days
- Tuesday 20 October
- Friendly heads up, 3 days before the due date
- Friday 23 October
- Reminder on the due date
- After 23 October
- Polite follow ups while it stays unpaid
- The day it is marked paid
- All reminders stop automatically
Example only, using dates in October 2026. Your own payment terms set the due date.
See exactly where each invoice stands
Reminders work best when you can see what happened to the invoice. WhizInvoice shows you.
Opened, but not paid
See when a customer opened the invoice and how many times. An invoice opened three times and still unpaid tells you more than any guess.
Delivered or bounced
Every invoice shows whether it was delivered, bounced or opened. A bounce means a wrong address, and you can fix it the same day.
One tap reminder
Want to nudge someone yourself? Press Send reminder on the invoice and it goes by email straight away, or send it from your own WhatsApp with the message written for you.
Who owes you
Owed, overdue and paid are visible at a glance, so you know where your money is without opening a spreadsheet.
Make paying the easy part
A reminder only helps if paying is simple. Every invoice carries your bank details in the format your country uses, such as PayID in Australia, a sort code in the UK or ACH details in the US. You can add your own Stripe, PayPal or Square payment link as well, so customers can pay by card from the email.
On Starter and up, upload the statement file from your bank and payments are matched to invoices by the invoice number your customers put as the reference. Connect a Stripe Payment Link from your own Stripe account and card payments mark the invoice paid by itself. We never touch the money.
Your money goes straight to your bank or your own payment account. WhizInvoice never holds it.
