For pet groomers

Grooming invoices with every dog named

Put each dog on its own line, explain the matting charge before anyone asks and give regular households one invoice a month. Mobile groomers can send it from the van.

Why grooming bills cause awkward conversations

Owners love their dogs and rarely know how matted the coat really was. Clear invoices keep the relationship easy.

  • Matting charges explained

Matted coat work takes time and care. Put it on its own line in 15 minute blocks, so the owner sees why this groom cost more than the last.

  • Two dogs, one household

Name each dog on its own line, so a family with a cockapoo and a schnauzer sees exactly what each one had done. One invoice covers both.

  • Monthly accounts for regulars

Dogs on a four to six week cycle can be billed together at month end. A statement shows the owner any invoices still open, on Solo and above.

  • Mobile grooming at the door

Finish in the van, hand the dog back and send the invoice before you pull away. Your own card payment link lets the owner pay from their phone.

  • Grooming plans on repeat

Owners who pay a set amount every month for regular visits can have a recurring invoice. It goes out on its own until you change it.

From a booking enquiry to a paid groom

  1. A new dog, a new enquiry

An owner fills in your website form about a cockapoo whose coat has got out of hand. The enquiry lands in your list with their phone number and postcode.

  2. Groom and note what you found

After the groom, open the enquiry and tap the full groom, the matting time and the nail clip from your saved services.

  3. Invoice at pick up

Send the invoice as the owner collects the dog. VAT is worked out for you, and you see when it is opened.

  4. Reminders for the forgetful

If the owner forgets to pay, a gentle reminder goes out around the due date. It stops once they have paid.

Questions

Good to know

Can I put more than one dog on an invoice?

Yes. Give each dog its own line with its name and service, and the owner pays once.

How do I show a matting charge?

Save matted coat work as a service priced per 15 minutes, then enter how many blocks it took.

Can regular customers get one invoice a month?

Yes. List each visit on a monthly invoice, or set up a recurring invoice on Solo and above if they pay a fixed amount.

Can owners pay by card?

Yes. Add your own Stripe, PayPal or Square payment link, and owners pay from the email. Payments reach your own account, never ours.

Does it work on my phone in the van?

Yes. Everything works on the phone, from finding the customer by name or postcode to sending the invoice.
