Mobile mechanic invoices sent from the kerbside

Put the parts, the labour and the vehicle details on one clear mobile mechanic invoice and send it before you close the bonnet. Fleet customers get a single statement each month.

What makes mobile mechanic invoices different

You work in driveways and car parks, carry the parts you need and often meet the customer only once.

  • The vehicle on the invoice

Put the plate, make, model and odometer reading in the invoice note. When the car comes back for its next service, you know exactly what was done and when.

  • Parts and labour, clearly split

Pads, rotors and fluid each get their own line, separate from your labour time. Customers can see they paid fair prices for parts.

  • Card payment at the kerb

Add your own Stripe, PayPal or Square link, and the customer pays by card from the email before you drive off. Payments go to your own account.

  • Fleet and trade customers

A builder’s three utes or a courier’s vans add up to lots of invoices for one customer. A monthly statement shows them every open invoice together, on Solo and above.

  • Quote the big repair first

When the clutch needs replacing, send a quote the customer accepts online before you order the kit. The invoice comes from the same quote.

From a booking request to a paid repair

  1. A grinding noise, reported online

A customer fills in your website form about a grinding noise when braking. Their phone, postcode and car details are in your enquiry list.

  2. Fix it in their driveway

Replace the pads and rotors on site, then open the enquiry on your phone and tap the parts and labour you used.

  3. Send it before you pack up

The tax invoice arrives by email with GST at 15% and your GST number, plus your bank details and card link. You see when it is opened.

  4. Paid on the spot, or reminded later

If the customer pays through your card link, you are done. If not, polite reminders go out around the due date until it is paid.

Questions

Good to know

Can I put the rego and odometer on the invoice?

Yes. Add the plate, make, model and odometer reading in the invoice note, so the details stay with the job.

Can customers pay by card before I leave?

Yes. Add your own Stripe, PayPal or Square payment link to your invoices, and customers pay from the email on their phone.
